Ali Teesdale
Ali Teesdale brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and strategic impact to her role as Chief Impact Officer at Teesdale Law. With a Master of Public Administration and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Psychology, Ali’s background is rooted in understanding human needs and creating systems to support growth and resilience. She is also a certified presenter on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), underscoring her commitment to addressing the root causes of challenges faced by individuals and communities.
Ali’s professional journey reflects her lifelong passion for helping people and her belief in the transformative power of community efforts. Growing up in a household where volunteering was encouraged, she developed a deep appreciation for the positive ripple effects of service. This ethos guided her early career in nonprofit organizations, including the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement of South Dakota, and led her to join Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program (BCYMP) in 2020. After about a year in the organization, she was promoted to Executive Director, where she spearheaded initiatives to expand the organization’s impact, strengthened partnerships, and successfully celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Ali is also an adjunct professor at South Dakota State University, where she teaches courses on nonprofit leadership. This role not only reflects her expertise but also her passion for developing future leaders in the nonprofit sector. Her ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies and inspire others aligns seamlessly with Teesdale Law’s mission of empowering clients and fostering impactful connections within the community.
As Chief Impact Officer, Ali is perfectly aligned with Teesdale Law’s mission of client-centered advocacy and community impact. Her role focuses on fostering meaningful connections with clients and the community, ensuring that every interaction reflects the firm’s values of service, effectiveness, and organization. Ali will lead initiatives to streamline and enhance the firm’s already strong impact, oversee charitable giving, and cultivate partnerships that benefit the broader Brookings community. Her ability to strategically align resources with organizational goals complements the firm’s systems-oriented approach, making her a natural fit for this dynamic role.
Ali’s expertise in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and community engagement strengthens the firm’s ability to continue excelling in these areas. At Teesdale Law, she will build upon existing successes, refining processes to maximize efficiency and deepen connections to clients and the community.
Ali is not only passionate about her work but also about her family and community. She and her husband, Anthony, are raising their two young children in Brookings, where they enjoy exploring local parks, the Children’s Museum, and finding the best coffee spots. Her energy, vision, and commitment to service will undoubtedly strengthen Teesdale Law’s ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of its clients and the Brookings community.
